Abstract

A model for interaction of polarized light with deformed layered "dielectric half-space – dielectric
photoelastic layer – dielectric half-space" structure has been considered in the paper. This structure
models an object with photoelastic covering, which is installed on its surface, when the
method of photoelastic coverings is using to determine the object’s stress-strained state. The exact
nonlinear relations of photoelasticity accounting distinctions in dielectric properties of the object,
the covering, and the ambient environment have been obtained.
