Abstract

For the initial-boundary value problem of admixture diffusion in a two-phase multilayered body
with the uniform distribution of phases the influence of errors on behaviour of the mass flow is
investigated. The effect of input data errors, method and rounding errors on the averaged diffusion
flow is analyzed. A series of numerical experiments are carried out. It is shown that the presence
of measurement departures in the initial concentration and characteristic thickness of inclusions
has the greatest effect on the flow disturbance and reduced diffusion coefficient disturbances least
influence on the flow.
