Plastic zones development in fractures thresholds at square notch tips

Analytical solution of the problem concerning the state of strain-stressed body with square notch
and fractures on its bisectrices extension was obtained. Plastic zones development on fractures
extension under quasistatically increasing loading were investigated. Dependences of plastic zone
lengths on load value for random relations between square side and fracture length were found.
The effect of notch on plastic zones development was analyzed. The fractures with sufficiently
longer lengths located opposite to square side have little effect on plastic zones development. But
if the fractures of even considerably small lengths are present, plastic zones on their extensions
develop significantly in a different manner than zones beginning from notch tip without fractures n
to neglect even the shortest fractures beginning from the notch tip.
