Abstract

The frictionless contact between an elastic half-space and a rigid base under the action of a
uniformly distributed far-field pressure and heat sinks distributed uniformly along a circle and
located in the half-space in a distance from its surface is considered. The analytical solution of the
heat conduction and thermoelsatic problem for the half-space is constructed and the contact
stresses are analyzed. It is established that delamination of the surfaces of the contacting bodies
occurs along a circular domain or a ring domain if the intensity of the heat sinks exceeds a certain
critical value.
