Drying of grain in active regimes taking into account its stratified structure

The peculiarities of modeling active modes of drying of grain are considered, approaches that are
often used in engineering practice are analysed. Based on the fundamental solutions of the model
proposed, the grain drying under active modes taking into account a two-layer structure of a
separate grain is studied. A numerical analysis of temperature distribution and concentration of
moisture in the grains’ structural elements is carried out that found out the recommended basic
settings of the drying process, namely, the temperature and the velocity of flow for drying agent to
achieve uniform drying.
