Abstract

Using the classical theory of shells and distortion method, the mathematical model for determination
of residual stresses near spiral welded joint in pipelines is built. Plastic deformations field
is assumed to be invariant along the spiral welded joint. Comparison of residual stresses for the
cases of pipelines with circular and spiral welded joint is done.
